What is the OCU Champions Club?
70
The Champions Club provides resources to support athletic scholarships, travel expenses, equipment replacement and other program needs that aren’t covered by university budgets. When you contribute to the Champions Club, 100 percent of your donation goes to provide opportunities and improve the experiences of OCU student-athletes. Every gift, no matter the amount, supports our academic and athletic endeavors, and enhances the experience of our 375 student-athletes.
Thank You for Supporting OCU Student-athletes
“The first time that I visited Oklahoma City University, I knew that this was my home. Receiving an athletic scholarship has allowed me to wrestle for this prestigious university, and I’ve also gained lifelong friends and experiences that can’t compare to other universities. I’m proud to be a part of an athletic department that has enjoyed so much success, but I also know the degree I will receive from OCU will put me well above other graduates in my job field. I’m very blessed and thankful for the opportunities given to me at OCU and look forward to my career when I leave OCU.”
“When I started playing golf as a young girl, I never imagined that the sport I love could take me to a place like Oklahoma City University. My scholarship to OCU has allowed me to study at an incredible university while also traveling the country to play golf. Not only is golf a part of who I am, but academics play a major role in my life. I am a Cellular and Molecular Biology major studying to apply to dental school. With this goal in mind, the athletic department at OCU have prepared me to be the best student and person I can be. My experiences as a student athlete have allowed me to make valuable connections that will last me a lifetime.”

Endowments
At Oklahoma City University our mission is to sustain the success of our student-athletes in the classroom and in competition. A key to our success each year is our ability to raise funds to cover necessary team expenses like travel, equipment, scholarships, and supplies. Endowments provide a perpetual source of income and relieve some of the pressure that coaches face on an annual basis to secure financial resources to support their team.
It is easy to establish an endowment benefiting OCU Athletics. Endowed funds may be created with a minimum gift of $25,000 payable over five years or through a future gift ( a bequest) from your estate. We will work with you to establish guidelines for your endowment to assure that your wishes serving the needs of the athletic department are met. These guidelines can be personalized to match the unique interests and intent of each gift with the greatest needs of the department. Endowments can be named after the donor, or in honor of someone special.
Our goal is to provide at least one endowment to benefit each of OCU’s 22 varsity athletic teams. For more information on how you can help us in this effort to sustain the success of our teams please contact Chris Maxon, Associate Athletic Director for Development, at (405) 208-5431, or by email at camaxon@okcu.edu.
